Select a report type and a date range and select ‘Run’ to run a report. You can leave the store, category and product ID fields blank and you do not need to change the ‘Import Type’. The data from the report will now be displayed on the page unless there is no data for the date range selected.

The Shopwave app uploads sales data to this online dashboard when connected to the internet. If no connection is available the data is stored on the device until the connection is restored and then it is uploaded.

Dashboard functions

Report Type:

Choose the type of report that is useful to you before selecting a date range.

Date Range:

Select a date range from the quick selections or choose ‘custom’ to run a report which will only include data within the date range. Tip: To run a one day report, for example 19th February, select this date in the FROM box within the custom date selector. Ensure the time is set to 0:00. In the TO box, select the day after (20th February) and again ensure that the time is set to 0:00. This will give you all data from the 19th February.

Store ID:

If you have multiple stores, enter a store ID in this field before running a report in order to see data from only one store. If left blank, the data will include all stores. Store ID’s can be seen in the URL web address bar of your browser when you select a store in the ‘Stores’ tab at the top of the admin dashboard.

Category ID:

If you want to report on particular product categories from your menu, enter a category ID in this field. Separate the ID’s with a comma to report on multiple categories. Only data from the chosen category/ies will appear. If a product is in a category which has a parent category you must enter the sub category ID in order to report on that product. To see category ID’s, select ‘Categories’ at the top of the admin dashboard. The category ID is in the ‘ID’ column.

Product ID:

If you want to report on particular products from your menu, enter a product ID in this field. Separate the ID’s with a comma to report on multiple products. Only data from the chosen products will appear. To see product ID’s, select ‘Products’ at the top of the admin dashboard. The product ID is in the ‘ID’ column.

Import type:

It is possible to display data from backup report files generated by the Shopwave app by uploading them here. The report displayed will use data from the file selected rather than data saved in your online account. This function is for advanced users only.

Only completed:

Tick this box to view data from completed baskets and transactions only. This option is only available when changing the import type.

Run:

Selecting this option will display report data on the same screen.

Export to CSV:

This option will generate a downloadable CSV file which you can open using Excel, numbers or other software.
