In order to keep your content backed up you will need to make sure that your baskets are synchronising correctly from your iPad POS app to the cloud. Ideally, you will have a good internet connection, in which case your baskets will sync continuously and without delay. If this is not the case then your are advised to allocate time at the end of the day to connect to the internet and synchronise the system.
NB. If you are using the Shopwave Admin system daily then you will need to make sure that your Baskets are syncing.
Are My Baskets In Sync?
Follow these short steps to find out if your baskets are fully synchronised with the cloud:
1. Launch the Shopwave POS app on your iPad.
2. Go to settings.
3. Click "Baskets" in the left column. Then choose a time period that you would like to check from the "BASKET OPTIONS" section.
4. If you see any red items in the ID column then your baskets need to be synced. Use one of the options below to sync your baskets.
How To Sync My Baskets?
There are 3 options to sync your baskets with the cloud.
Option 1: After Transaction
After every transaction the last 10 un-synched baskets in the queue will be synched. So if you loose connection temporarily then the system will eventually, automatically, catch up with itself.
Option 2: Logout
When you logout from Shopwave POS then the last 200 un-synched baskets in the queue will be synched.
Option 3: Settings
If you don't wan to log out then go to settings, then click baskets. Click the "sync" button in the bottom of the right panel and your last 200 un-synched baskets in the queue will be synched.
